Class 101: The Basics

Class 101 teaches the topics of salvation, baptism, and communion, along with the purpose, targets, structure, and affiliations of the church. Attending this class does not make you a member or obligate you to join, but this class is a requirement for membership at The Grove Church. We encourage people who just want to learn more about the Christian faith or our church to attend. At the end of the class, you will have the option of signing the Membership Covenant. If you go through this class, sign the covenant, and are a Christ follower who has experienced believer’s baptism, you will be able to join the church.
What is in the Membership Covenant?
The Membership Covenant has four statements that you must agree to in order to become a member. Those statements are:
- I will protect the unity of my church.
- I will share the responsibility of my church.
- I will serve the ministry of my church.
- I will support the testimony of my church.
This class is required for membership at The Grove.
